Four simple steps to customize any monthly template for your needs.
Open the downloaded .XLSX file in Excel. Look for the month/year input cell — it's usually in cell B1 or C1, highlighted with a colored background. This single cell controls the entire calendar.
Type your target month number and year into the input cell. For example, enter 3 for March and 2026 for the year. The header, date numbers, and day-of-week positions all update automatically.
Select any cell or range and use Excel's standard formatting toolbar to change colors, fonts, and borders. Weekends are pre-formatted but you can override any style.
